Summer Program
Watertown Cooperative Nursery School offers a Summer Program for children who are 2 years and 9 months to 7 years old. The hours are from 9am to 3:30pm, 5 days a week. Early drop-off is available at 8:30am and a half-day program is available from 9am to 1pm. In 2024, the program is offered from June 27 – August 23. Families may sign up for as many weeks as they like.
The program is run by our experienced WCNS teachers, who accompany children at all times. There is a maximum of 19 children per day.

Weather permitting, the children are outside the entire morning in our fenced-in play space. In case of inclement weather, the children will engage in our well-equipped indoor classroom space. Each week focuses on a theme that is explored in our activities, songs, and stories.

*Please note: due to the July 4 holiday, the first week of camp runs from Thursday to the following Wednesday. All other weeks run from Monday to Friday.
Our Day
The day officially begins at 9:00am with free play outside until 10:15. Morning snack is eaten outside from 10:30 to 10:45 after toileting and hand washing. The second part of the morning consists of water play and swimming from 10:45 to 12:00. Stories and singing are from 12:00 to 12:30 and then everyone has lunch from 12:30 to 1:00. Our half day ends at 1:00. Children who participate in the full day will have an opportunity to read and rest, as well as have more free play and water play outside. Children bring their own snack, lunch, and water bottle each day.
Tuition and Fees
Full day program (9am to 3:30pm) : $485 per week
Half day program (9am to 1pm) : $375 per week
Early drop-off at 8:30am is an additional $50 per week.
A $35 non-refundable application fee is due upon submission of the application form. If you are invited to enroll, you will be asked to submit a deposit of $25 per week of enrollment. The balance of tuition is due by March 1. Please contact us with any questions.
Priority Enrollment and Deadlines
Priority will be offered to currently enrolled students of WCNS, followed by their siblings. Currently enrolled families must submit their registration materials and deposit by January 22 in order to reserve their spot.
Families not currently enrolled at WCNS may submit an application at any time and will automatically be placed on a waiting list. Starting January 23, waitlisted families will be notified of their acceptance and will be invited to submit their deposit of $25 per session. The balance of tuition is due by March 1. Enrollment will remain open as long as space is available.
